Harley
Harley completed her first 200hr intensive teacher training in Tantric Hatha Yoga at Blue Osa in Costa Rica in 2016 after she had only been practicing yoga for just over a year. Her passion for practice was evident early on, and she quickly took to the Ashtanga Yoga Method as her daily routine. She has studied extensively at home and around the world, delighting in taking frequent visits to India, California, and Costa Rica for yoga immersion and self-exploration, dedicating her life to being a forever student. She has done hundreds of hours worth of continuing education while assisting teacher trainings, attending workshops, and going on yearly retreats with her teachers. Harley also hosts annual international yoga retreats with her friend and colleague, Alexandros Liatsos.
Her additional yoga-related, educational achievements also include completion of a 300hr intensive teacher training with Jared McCann at Lighthouse Yoga in Brooklyn along with the Foundations of Yoga Therapy program through Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy.
Harley is the owner of Fox Dog Yoga, a community gathering space developed on her vision of a "one-stop-shop" for unique, wholistic experiences, authentic and traditional yoga, good food, good music, and good times. Although many people think the studio is Harley's full-time job, she also works in the behavioral health department as a psychiatric social worker on an inpatient psychiatric unit, as well as in private practice as a clinical talk therapist, empowering her belief in an emphasis on mental health, self-care, and a well-balanced, mindfully lived life. Harley has a Master's degree in Social Work from Adelphi University, where she learned that each person's life experience is based on a combination of their own bio, psycho, social, and spiritual history. She bases her teaching on these principles and makes it her goal to support you, as an individual, in finding your own strength and power to heal, grow, and thrive.
Janine
Janine received her 200hr certification from Innersea Yoga Academy (formerly known as Gypsea Yoga School) in Uvita, Costa Rica in 2022. Being taught in a jungle surrounded by wildlife and people from around the world was an experience that shaped her into the teacher she is today. Janine's favorite classes to teach are creative, slow, soft & best of all, Yin- allowing the body to really ease into the postures receiving their full benefits. Janine preaches this practice to everyone around her. She says it continuously reintroduces her to herself with new highs and humblings. It’s an ever evolving journey, a place she can always escape to.
Janine encourages you to give yourself the gift of mindful movement and witness your mind, body & soul become one strong force. To gain control of your thoughts and emotions will set you free. Becoming a teacher has introduced Janine to new challenges and a more powerful focus on the importance of taking care of YOU. Leave expectations at the door, and allow the body to show you where it wants to go.
Janine teaches Yin Yoga at Fox Dog on Tuesdays at 6:30pm. Her classes are soothing for the soul and sought after by all levels of practitioner in the studio.
Andrea
Andrea has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and teaching since 2020. She teaches both Hatha & Yin Yoga and received her training from Bearfoot Yoga in Bayshore along with her Yin training through Yoga International with Bernie Clark. In group classes, Andrea enjoys exploring topics including: the chakras, animal symbolism, guided meditation and body neutrality. Her yoga classes are accessible for those of all levels.
At Fox Dog, Andrea teaches Yin on Thursdays at 6:30pm and Chair Yoga Fusion on Sundays at 11:15am. Both classes are appropriate for the beginner yogi, accessible to those with physical limitations, and equally as enjoyable for the advanced practitioner.
Meghan

Meghan received her 200-hour yoga training in the autumn of 2020 through Breathe N Flow yoga in Oceanside, NY. She and her class were fortunate enough to meet outdoors, being able to bond in person while staying safe. Meghan learned a lot during that training, going beyond the asana. She found peace in a time of stress and found a support system to lean on. Meghan's goal is to provide a safe space for her classes. She hopes to offer a sense of calm and ease, and a space for healing and growth. Her favorite classes to teach are beginner classes, gentle slow flow, and vinyasa. She loves to weave mindfulness and breath-work into her flows to allow the mind to slow down and for us to go inward.
Meghan later became certified to teach children’s yoga through Yoga Ed. after working in the elementary schools and created a series of classes for her school’s Saturday club program. Seeing her young students bloom and learn to regulate their emotions and voice their needs is rewarding beyond words. To know the impact yoga can have on any person, any age, any background is why she does this.
"Yoga is my 'me time,' my time to slow down, take a pause from my busiest days, and take time to reset, refocus, and restore; and I hope to share that with others, taking it off the mat."
